About

The person
behind the work.

I’m Ibrahim “Abe” Alhabarneh, a product designer and design system owner based in the Washington, D.C. area. I bring 18+ years of experience and a curiosity about how people think.

How I work

Curious by nature.
Collaborative by choice.

My design journey started with experimenting with interfaces, understanding how people think, and finding beauty in structure. That curiosity still shapes the questions I ask and the work I make.

Over the years, I’ve designed across fintech, enterprise healthcare, and global platforms. My work connects product experiences with the systems that support them, balancing human needs, business goals, and technical realities.

I believe great design is a conversation between empathy and logic. Listening, sharing ideas, and building understanding together are as much a part of the craft as the screens themselves.

Beyond the screen

A broader perspective.

The experiences I bring to a project extend beyond design tools. They shape how I listen, connect, and stay curious.

From Jordan to the D.C. area.

Originally from Jordan and now based in the Washington, D.C. area, I bring a global mindset to my work. I care about making experiences clear and accessible for the different people who use them.

Seeing things differently.

Outside of design, photography is my creative outlet. I’m drawn to light, composition, and the details that make an ordinary moment worth a second look. It gives me space to experiment, slow down, and see familiar things from a fresh angle.

See that perspective in practice.
